The Alligator Cable Carrier
Project Scope
We were approached by an existing customer at London Heathrow Airport, in relation to supplying and installing replacement cable carriers to return two stands into full operation.
The specification
JLC Group quoted to supply 2 x cable Carrying Alligators, including all cabling and earth straps. Being out on the airfield, in all weather conditions, the Alligators were required to be robust and able to withstand these weather conditions along with heavy use.
Manufactured entirely in house, building on the success of our previous model, the Crocodile, these Cable Carriers were built to the following specification:
- A requirement of an 18 metre reach
- Right Hand Stand Orientation
- Dual Power output requirement
Bespoke features
Design, manufactured and tested in house at JLC this is a unique and remarkable product.
Manufactured in stainless steel, the Alligator protects the 400Hz cable from abrasion, damage and misuse, greatly extending the cable life.
Management of Works
JLC provided full management of the works involved including delivery, installation and testing.
Service & Maintenance
A manufacturers on site warranty is in place to support the customer, following the installation.
We can offer service and maintenance contracts on these and all of our products.
